For a while it appeared the most difficult part of the journey would be getting checked in at the United Express counter at RDU airport, but after 45 minutes of slowly snaking through the line, I had no trouble checking in. As we left, I thought the crowded plane would never get off the ground, and wondered if it had anything to do with my heavy luggage.
